Lisa and I (Jana) were acquaintances on night shift in the ER where we work. My first grandbaby and Lisa's first grandbaby had recently been born and we were commiserating on how expensive cute baby bibs were. I told her that I love to sew but find the "cutting out the pattern part" as too labor intensive. Lisa offered to cut out all of our baby bibs if I would sew them. It was suggested to us by another nurse that we open an Etsy store. It was then and there that we shook hands and became business partners. We started out with a line of 6 specialty bibs and now we have almost 400! items for sale in our shop. AND, continue to add new creations about once or twice a month.
We stay busy with supplying the shop with baby bibs inventory, while also selling our products at local festivals and craft shows. Our business has grown mostly by word of mouth and by starting a Facebook page for our shop.
Lisa and I enjoy the challenge of getting commissioned to create and design new products. We hope to pass that enjoyment and our passion into our "little shop of sewing".
